‘I was a teacher for 17 years, but I couldn’t read or write’
BBC
And then in the second grade we were supposed to learn to read. But for me it was like opening a Chinese newspaper and looking at it - I didn't understand what those lines were, and as a child of six, seven, eight years old I didn't know how to articulate the problem.

I taught a lot of different things. I was an athletics coach. I taught social studies. I taught typing - I could copy-type at 65 words a minute but I didn't know what I was typing.

Zarathustra's Dream-Vision of Eternal Hellfire
Salo Forum - OP: Thoughts
Human intelligence, including its offspring of ‘civilization’, is actually an affront to the void. Its worst crevices, hypocrisies, and sexual dirt are known to the void that pierces it, surrounds it, penetrates its insides, and is aware of its feebleness at every instant. It is aware of its every artifice and contraption, every lie, every time it scratches its ass, every time it tries to escape. The absolute void sees the highest peak of intelligence merely as a repulsive spider gorging itself on little pieces of flesh here and there, while utterly clueless as to its own futility: for no matter how high it leaps (the Faustian illusion of endlessness), its soul crumbles like sand when touched by the void. All of its culture, its civilization, its history, its technique, its science, its religion, its theology, to their highest flowering heights, are the mere moaning of cattle, deserving of no better treatment.
The peak of cultured intelligence is a white citadel and spire: these little court savants with their arrogant skills in manipulating tiny pieces of the cosmic fire that they stole, and tried to claim as their own. Proudly they built their kingdoms, gardens, proud towers and white spires of civilization, upon stolen knowledge: now they will be swallowed into the belly of the very fire that they attempted to control.

Transatlantic Roller Coaster Designed to Bomb U.S.A
Popular Science
Rocket projects were Hitler’s equivalent of America’s Manhattan District Project. Blueprints for atomic bombs are still tightly guarded secrets, but the Nazis’ detailed plans for push-button, transoceanic war have now been exposed. They are a clue to developments that may reasonably be expected if there is another war.

If the invasion of Europe had been delayed six months, German robot missiles and piloted rocket bombers would have been hurtling across the Atlantic. Rocket bombing of New York was scheduled for early 1946.

The Armenian Weekly
This week, former House Speaker Dennis Hastert is expected to plead guilty to the charge of making secret payments to buy the silence of boys he had sexually abused when he was a high school wrestling coach. Edmonds was fired from her FBI position after revealing to her superiors the penetration of US government entities by Turkish agents “who were seeking to influence U.S. foreign policy while sometimes engaging in illegal activity,” according to Giraldi. “The scope of the corruption allegedly involved bribery of senior government officials and congressmen, arranging for export licenses to countries that were embargoed, and the exposure of classified information,” Giraldi wrote.
